LOOP – Waste to Resources

Join LOOP – Waste to Resources on April 27-28 in Copenhagen and gain knowledge on circular solutions for waste and resource management.

LOOP is the leading Nordic forum for waste and resource management and circular economy. The event is a cross-sector platform putting a spotlight on circular solutions for waste & resource management.

Planetary resources are under pressure. Population growth and dramatically growing middle class result in rising consumption. At the same time, growth of single-use consumption paired with increasingly short product life means more and more resources are being used – resulting in ever-larger waste volumes. Roughly half of European greenhouse gas emissions originate from resource extraction and processing. Circular economy is the solution – a transformation that rethinks the use of resources, focusing on minimal-waste production.

At LOOP you will gain deep insights, knowledge and inspiration for the circular transition, waste -mangement, -reduction and -prevention & resource effeciency.

Why join?

If you are interested in gaining more knowledge on waste and resource management, then you do not want to miss this event.

The event combines Danish strong points such as innovation, design, and sustainability and showcases knowledge, experience, experts and networks across industries and value chains.

The two days event will have 5 stages where more than 100 speakers will come and give their perspective on waste, ressources and cicular economy. LOOP addresses numerous contemporary themes across industries and value chains such as sustainable plastic packaging, recycling construction materials and regulations.

Davos Forum

Join Davos Forum on May 22-26 in Davos in Switzerland and be part of the 2022 forum focusing on working together to regain trust with the aim to address economic, environmental, political and social fault-lines exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the event, global leaders will participate and work on eight thematic priorities: global cooperation, economic rebalancing, society and equity, climate and nature, innovation and governance, industrial transformation, risks and resilience, and global health – Areas in which the global food and agriculture sector has a large impact and can create change towards a more sustainable world.

The annual meeting will in particular focus on two objectives:

  1. The biggest priority is to accelerate progress and the impact of the forum to tackle global challenges – from COVID and climate change to education and global technology.
  2. The second objective is to provide a platform for connection, thus fostering the generation of new ideas and innovations, involving communities, projects and individuals willing to share their contributions. Technology will allow the audience to observe and interact with the forum through the live streaming of sessions, social networks and virtual connections.

We stand together for change

There is a way forward to heal a divisive world, but it requires a change in both mindset and behaviour. At the core of the World Economic Forum’s DNA is the stakeholder concept: no institution or individual alone can address the economic environmental, social and technological challenges of a complex, interdependent world. And, true to its origin, the Forum has had a single guiding vision for the past 50 years: to be the platform where business, government, international organizations, civil society and academia can act together to achieve a global impact.

Sustainability at front

Last year’s Davos was the most sustainable annual summit held to date. It received IS0 20121 certification for sustainable events and will be totally carbon neutral. This accomplishment was possible thanks to policies aimed at using locally-sourced food suppliers, introducing alternative sources of protein to reduce meat consumption, sourcing 100% renewable electricity, reducing or eliminating the use of materials that cannot be recycled or easily re-used, and increasing the availability of electric vehicles.
