ABOUT FOOD NATION 

Food Nation is a non-profit public-private branding consortium that present the entire Danish food cluster, creating awareness on export markets of Denmark as a strong innovative food nation.

Food Nation contributes with export-promoting branding initiatives that strengthen the global positioning of the Danish food cluster. We function as a gateway for Danish agri-food companies to showcase their expertise, innovation, and sustainable practices to international stakeholders.

INSPIRATION AND TOOLS FOR EXPORT MARKETING AND BRANDING 

Food Nation has established a marketing toolbox providing Danish agri-food companies with a platform of free materials to get inspired by or to integrate into export marketing and branding activities. The aim of the toolbox is to empower Danish companies to stand out on export markets. From strategic insights to high-quality marketing assets – the offerings are designed to elevate Danish agricultural and food solutions in export markets.

VISITOR CENTRE

Looking for a location for your next business meeting or teambuilding workshop? It is possible to use the Visitor Centre in Copenhagen for free.

Food Nation has two visitor centers – one in Aarhus and one in Copenhagen. Here we host international delegations from around the world, informing about the collaborative approach by the Danish food cluster and its strongholds. In addition, we invite Danish companies to actively use the Visitor Centre for networking events or sales-driven activities. Our unique venues serve as a gateway, offering opportunities to connect with global stakeholders, share Danish expertise, and strengthen international collaborations. By leveraging these spaces, businesses can showcase Denmark’s strongholds, aligning their efforts with the nation’s global leadership in the agri-food sector.

WHITE PAPERS

The white papers can be used as a strong content marketing tool, providing strategic storytelling and a common narrative for the entire Danish agri-food cluster. Each white paper unfolds the strongholds of the Danish agri-food cluster and offers insights for international stakeholders about Danish products and solutions as well as strategic storytelling for Danish companies to get inspired by when crafting compelling narratives that resonate globally.

In collaboration with leading experts, Food Nation has identified key strongholds and sectors that define Denmark’s innovative approach to the agri-food sector. Each stronghold is detailed in a white paper, providing both an academic foundation and best practice cases. These publications showcase Denmark’s leadership in the following areas: Climate, Seafood, Ingredients, Collaboration, Gastronomy, Health, Innovative Technology, Organic, Food Quality & Safety, and Sustainability – offering Danish companies the tools to position their products and solutions on the global stage.

INSIGHT REPORT

The Insight Report provide market insights, intended to support Danish businesses align their export marketing and branding strategies with international market expectations. This enables companies to leverage Denmark’s brand presence globally and supports the positioning strategy for products and solutions.

The annual Insight Report on Denmark as a Food Nation provides a focused analysis of Denmark’s image as a leading food nation in key markets, examining the perceptions and awareness of Denmark’s strengths. The report is based on a quantitative survey conducted by Epinion for Food Nation. The survey targets key decision-makers, such as purchasing managers, company leaders, and others responsible for purchasing, selling, and trading solutions and products in the agriculture and food sectors in specific markets, which varies every year.
