Organic Summit 2025
At Organic Summit 2025 ,18-19 August, international stakeholders are gathered to address organic farming and food production as a key driver to accelerate the green transition.
Denmark, a global leader in organic farming, hosts Organic Summit 2025 – a landmark event dedicated to shaping the future of sustainable food systems. As the EU strives to achieve 25% organic farming by 2030, this summit brings together thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers to inspire action and create tangible solutions.
The summit coincides with Denmark’s EU Presidency, underlining its global importance. Engage with policymakers, farmers, researchers, and businesses to co-create solutions that push the boundaries of what organic farming can achieve.
Event ambassadors and keynote speakers include visionaries like Connie Hedegaard, former EU Climate Commissioner, and Peter Sisseck, a renowned winemaker and forester, who will share their insights on sustainability and innovation.
An ambitious agenda
Organic Summit is setting the scene by addressing the ambitious target set by the European Commission aiming to achieve at least 25% of the EU’s agricultural land under organic farming and significantly expanding organic agriculture by 2030.
Over two days, participants will engage in insightful discussions and explore innovative solutions across three key themes:
- Farming: How can we motivate and empower more farmers to embrace organic practices? Let’s discuss ways to enhance productivity, sustainability, and resilience.
- Industry/Processing: What are the opportunities and challenges for processors in the organic market? We’ll focus on unlocking value while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Market Development: How can we scale organic food systems in retail, public procurement, and the food service sector? Together, we’ll explore the pathways to healthier, more sustainable food choices.
The summit will conclude with the presentation of an Organic Charter, outlining actionable steps to achieve the EU’s organic farming goals. This document will be handed over to the Danish Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries during the closing ceremony, providing a roadmap for future collaboration and growth
