This year’s Danish pavillon is organised by Organic Denmark, which is an association of companies, organic farmers and consumers in Denmark and the largest representative of the organic food industry in Denmark. Organic Denmark promotes organic products in Denmark and on exporting markets and is responsible for the Danish joint stand.

Panel discussion: Organic as a part of our sustainable future – Increasing the organic market share to reach the EU target in 2030

In a panel discussion with participation from the Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Rasmus Prehn, we will discuss how national policy can contribute to a more sustainable food system, in particular strengthening the producer’s conditions for producing organic products and the retailers opportunities and responsibility for preserving and increase the organic market share.

The panel will also touch upon how innovation within the organic sector contribute to the sustainable development. Sharing experiences is the way to increase the organic agricultural area in Europe, and continuing the positive development of increasing biodiversity, better animal welfare and less antibiotics. In collaboration, we can reach the EU target of 25% of the agricultural land under organic farming by 2030.
