New York Climate Week 2024

A Danish delegation will attend this year’s New York Climate week to engage in discussions and highlight climate action.

This year, Climate Week NYC is being held September 22 – 29, 2024. The event takes place every year in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.

This year’s theme: It’s Time.

Even though we’re investing more than ever in clean energy and net zero technologies, 2024 started off with the hottest temperatures on record. Last year also broke the 1.5-degree Celsius average increase.

New York Climate Week brings together leaders from business, technology, politics, academia, and civil society to push the green transition forward and inspire others to take action. This year, the theme of the New York Climate Week is It’s Time.

AgriFood will have a central role at this year’s New York Climate week with a focus on advancing sustainability in nature and food systems. Topics include agriculture, agroforestry and forests, food’s journey, food waste, regenerative farming, Indigenous land management, carbon sequestration, climate-friendly diets, land restoration, conservation, and healthy soils.

Engage with potential Danish partners

As part of NYC Climate Week, Danish leaders across the food and agriculture sectors will convene at the Sustainability Summit NYC. The event will showcase innovative approaches to sustainable food production, supply chains, and agricultural practices, aimed at driving sectoral change.

With a strong Danish presence, this platform invites global stakeholders to collaborate in advancing the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The Sustainability Summit NYC presents a unique opportunity for global partners to connect with Danish companies, governmental bodies, and organizations leading in agriculture and food sustainability.
