Folkemødet 2024: Brain & breakfast with the Netherlands and Denmark

On June 14 from 9.00 – 10.00, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Denmark and Food Nation Denmark invite for a Brain & Breakfast at Folkemødet 2024 to address the shared challenges and responsibilities to create a more sustainable agriculture and food system by starting with healthy soils. 

All senses will be activated when the Netherlands and Denmark invite you to brain & breakfast in Allinge, Bornholm, under the headline Down to earth: Can healthy soils lead to healthy people? 

Healthy soil plays a vital role in issues of climate adaption, ground and surface water quality, biodiversity, food production and food security. Facing the geopolitical situations, the Netherlands and Denmark will address the shared challenges and responsibilities to create a more sustainable agriculture and food system by starting with healthy soils.

How can the Netherlands and Denmark play an active role in creating the best possible fundament for healthy soils on an international level?  

What will be the most important actions to secure healthy soils from both science, industry, agriculture, and public sector?  

How can we overcome existing barriers to accelerate the transition towards more healthy soils?   

Folkemødet is Denmark’s largest democratic festival, where citizens, decision-makers, and hundreds of organisations come together from the June 13 – 15, 2024 for democratic debates about our shared society.
