Danish food delegation to Japan with H.M. The King and the Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries

His Majesty the King of Denmark will undertake an accession visit to Japan from April 23 to 25, 2025, accompanied by the Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries. As part of this visit, leading Danish food, beverage, and agriculture companies will join the official business delegation to Tokyo and Osaka.

Denmark’s food sector is renowned for its strong cross-disciplinary collaboration, making it one of the world’s most innovative food clusters.

Collaboration and innovation in Denmark are drivers of green transition and sustainable development. Japan and Denmark are both nations with strong ambitions for sustainable developments in the food and agriculture sector.

The Danish food delegation is eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration across the entire food value chain between Japan and Denmark. Throughout the visit, delegates will also highlight the role of culinary diplomacy in fostering meaningful networks and building strong partnerships, from gastronomy to innovative technology.

The Tokyo segment of the program will feature a high-level business lunch and conference at the Meiji Kinenkan, attended by H.M. the King, along with an exclusive reception at the Danish Ambassador’s residence, where H.M. the King will be the guest of honor. Additionally, the program includes a full day of visits and meetings with key stakeholders and leading companies in the local food and agribusiness sectors.

In Osaka, delegates will have the opportunity to network and connect with local partners at Denmark Day in the Nordic Pavilion at the World Expo, as well as explore other areas of the Expo.
