Safe food of high quality by Denmark at China International Import Expo in Shanghai

Come and meet Danish companies representing food and agriculture as well as energy technology and solutions at China International Import Expo (CIIE). The exibition runs over 6 days and takes place this November in Shanghai.

Danish food companies will present unique solutions on some of the most urgent issues, from safe food of high quality to the increasing demand for more organic food among the Chinese consumers, during the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai from 5th to 10th of November.

Danish food products are already synonymous with high quality out in the world and the Danish companies keep setting the bar higher. One of the frontrunners within high food quality production at the Danish Food & Agriculture Pavilion is the slaughterhouse Danish Crown:

– We know that several Chinese consumers have very specific demands when it comes to food safety and in Denmark, we have a long tradition for high quality and safe food production. Our continuously investments in innovation within this area are very important for us to provide safe products to the Chinese consumer, says Søren Tinggaard, Vice President, Pork Export Strategy & Marketing at Danish Crown.

Chinese companies and consumers already buy a high amount of Danish food and agricultural products, making the Chinese market the 4th largest market for the Danish food cluster.  The primary export of goods to China are pork, fur and dairy products. From 2007 to 2017 the Danish food export to China has had a sixfold increase.

– At Danisa we are happy to have high quality standardised production. Not only does our production ensure that consumers around the world can expect the same product every single time, it also assures that the level of taste and quality in our products is the same, regardless of where in the world they are consumed, says Erik Bresling, CEO at Danisa; the company that produces the Danish butter cookies.

A visit to the Danish Food & Agriculture Pavilion will offer a unique opportunity for buyers and business owners to gain insights from their business peers and help buyers to identify unique products from the Danish food sector.
