Munkebo Seafood
In 1974, Munkebo Seafood A/S was founded through a partnership with Hawesta, a German canning company. In the 2000s, the range was expanded to include salmon and mussels. Focusing primarily on salmon, but also soups and trout, it strengthened its market position. In 2022, 90% of Munkebo Seafood was sold to the Faroese salmon farmer Bakkafrost. The partnership with Bakkafrost ensured a modernization of the factory and a strong future for Munkebo Seafood with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
