Tour de France 2022 will be kick-started with HRH Crown Prince Frederik and Danish cycling focus

On Thursday, October 14, the route for the Tour de France 2022 will be presented in Paris in front of the world press. Here, Denmark and Danish cycling culture will be at the center. HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark will give a speech and the Danish tour parties show a new video about Denmark as a cycling nation.

The mayors of the five Danish finish and start cities, Minister of Trade and Industry Simon Kollerup and the HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark will all be present when race director Christian Prudhomme unveils next year’s Tour de France route at the Palais de Congrès in Paris on October 14. The presentation begins with a special focus on Denmark and the Danish biking culture.

On the same day, the Confederation of Danish Industries, in collaboration with VisitDenmark and Food Nation, is holding a business promotion for Danish companies and invited guests at Maison Du Danemark on the Champs-Élysées as part of the officials visit to Paris in relation to the route presentation of the Tour de France. Here, the focus will be on how healthy lifestyles, food joy and gastronomy are closely linked to the approach we in Denmark have to cycling and sustainability. The participating companies will present their solutions and products to stakeholders, the press and invited VIPs, such as the Crown Prince, Minister of Trade and Industry, mayors and sponsors.

Have you ever been served gourmet food from a bike?

In Denmark, food experiences are much more than ingredients and what is on the plate. Therefore the Confederation of Danish Industries, in collaboration with Food Nation and VisitDenmark presents a gastronomic experience at Maison Du Danemark on how cycling is a central part of the Danes’ everyday life with the Danish “bike chef” (Cykelkokken), Morten Kryger Wulff. The bike chef creates creative dining experiences with seasonal fresh ingredients while exploring the city’s spaces and will on October 14th create a unique dining experience where Danish gastronomy and sustainability are linked to cycling.
