Danish state visit to Argentina: Partnering for a sustainable transition
On the occasion of the State Visit by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark, Danish companies will travel to Buenos Aires in Argentina on an export promotion the 17-19th March 2019. The business activities and networking events will focus on the following sector tracks: Agribusiness, including the food processing industry, Sustainability and Healthcare.
Argentina has re-emerged as a constructive international player. The government’s reforms have fueled international interest in new trade and investment opportunities in the country, where there is demand for many of the core competencies of Danish companies.
15 Danish food companies will join the Danish business delegation in March to participate in site visits, networking events and seminars to gain new insights about the market opportunities in Argentina, the third biggest economy in Latin America.
Danish know-how can boost the Argentine agribusiness
Argentina is an internationally recognized agricultural country, and the sector is an essential element of the country’s economy. Especially the production of meat (beef, poultry and pigs), soya and dairy products contributes positively.
Today, Argentina produces food products for about 400 million people with the aim of doubling this figure within 5-10 years. The ambition requires increased productivity, technology, efficiency and food safety – areas which allows for Danish exports and investments.
