Plant Food Summit 2025
On 20-21 October, Copenhagen will host the Plant Food Summit 2025 at the Royal Danish Playhouse. Held during Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the event highlights plant-based food as a cornerstone of sustainable food systems.
Bringing together decision-makers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society from across Europe, the summit aims to foster systemic change in food production and consumption. With Denmark’s pioneering Plant-based Action Plan and New Dietary Guidelines as the foundation, this event will explore how plant-based food strategies can help achieve climate goals and promote public health.
The themes of the summit showcase how plant-based food can drive sustainable change across the entire food system. Over two days, participants will explore how plant-based innovation connects rural producers, urban markets, public institutions, and forward-thinking businesses. The programme includes debates, site visits, and culinary experiences that showcase Denmark’s strengths in green gastronomy and food innovation.
As a frontrunner in sustainable agriculture, organic food production, and plant-based research, Denmark provides a strong foundation for European collaboration. The Plant Food Summit 2025 offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, form partnerships, and shape a greener, more plant-forward food future.
