Climate Week NYC 2026

A Danish delegation will take part in Climate Week NYC 2026 to engage in high-level dialogue and highlight Denmark’s contributions to climate action and the green transition.

Held in September 2026 in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and in coordination with the City of New York, Climate Week NYC once again brings together global leaders from business, government, science and civil society to accelerate climate solutions.

Agri-food in focus

Food systems remain central to the global climate agenda. Agriculture and food production play a decisive role in both mitigation and adaptation efforts, and Climate Week NYC provides an important platform for advancing dialogue on sustainable, resilient and climate-smart food systems.

Topics across the week are expected to address key issues such as regenerative practices, sustainable supply chains, climate-smart diets, food loss and waste reduction, carbon sequestration and nature-based solutions.

Denmark and the Danish food cluster

Throughout the week, Danish stakeholders within food and agriculture will engage in events and discussions showcasing scalable solutions and collaborative approaches to the green transition of agri-food systems.

Denmark’s participation will highlight how strong public-private partnerships, research-based innovation and international cooperation contribute to advancing sustainable food production globally.
