Nordic Food Day
At EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Nordic Food Day will highlight the Nordic region’s strengths in delivering sustainable, high-quality, and innovative food solutions. Taking place at the Nordic Pavilion, the day will explore how Nordic food systems contribute to global food security, climate goals, and healthier lives- anchored in shared values of sustainability, trust, and collaboration.
The programme offers international stakeholders a unique opportunity to engage with leading Nordic food actors through a curated mix of business networking, culinary experiences, and expert dialogues. The day begins with a Nordic Food Fair, where companies will present their products and share the values behind their brands – offering insights into how Nordic solutions align with the highest standards for quality, safety, and traceability.
At the EXPO venue, a networking lunch will showcase the diversity and innovation of Nordic cuisine. Using local and seasonal ingredients, the reception celebrates both traditional heritage and modern preparation – creating space for dialogue across the food sector.
In the afternoon, a press conference and seminar at the Nordic Pavilion will highlight Nordic contributions to resilient and future-fit food systems. Denmark is internationally recognised for responsible seafood production, cutting-edge food technologies, and a strong biosolutions sector that supports climate-smart agriculture and healthier diets. These strengths are rooted in a collaborative value chain model – bringing together farmers, businesses, researchers, and government to ensure safe, sustainable, and high-quality food from farm and sea to table.
